Wine and Design has settled into its new home in James City County after leaving the Williamsburg Arts District for a larger space in June.

Jennifer Oberman opened Wine and Design in the City of Williamsburg’s Arts District in September 2012. She hoped to help the blooming Arts District grow over time, but soon found her business had grown too large for the space.

With no larger spaces available in Williamsburg, Oberman moved to neighboring James City County and reopened on July 16.

Oberman and her family celebrated the business’ grand reopening with a ribbon-cutting ceremony Saturday. Wine and Design is now located at 4548 John Tyler Highway, Unit B.

The new space has off-street parking – a change from the small parking lot and street parking on Bacon Avenue – and a larger studio space and patio. Oberman can now host about 25 to 30 people for private parties, which almost doubles the size of the party space available in Williamsburg. In the main studio, 40 guests will have room to paint their own masterpieces.
