A Tuesday afternoon power outage has postponed Tuesday’s York County Board of Supervisors budget work session to Thursday.
The session was to be the first discussion of the budget among the supervisors since they held a public hearing last week regarding the budget for the upcoming fiscal year.
Almost all of the conversation at that hearing urged the supervisors to fully fund the York County School Division’s budget request.
A gulf of about $2 million exists between what YCSD has requested and what York County Administrator James McReynolds proposed as a funding allocation for the schools in his budget.
The work session has been moved to 6 p.m. Thursday at York Hall.
