This Week in Crime: Marlbank Cove Home Break-In; Theft of Pain Medication

ThisWeekInCrimeInvestigators across the Historic Triangle are seeking the public’s help in identifying suspects from several crimes, including the theft of items from a home in Marlbank Cove and the theft of pain medication from a doctor’s office in James City County.

York County:

Items Stolen from Marlbank Cove Home

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office is investigating after someone broke into a home in Marlbank Cove and stole some items.

YPSO Lt. Dennis Ivey said the incident occurred between 9:30 a.m. and 1:40 p.m. March 11 while the resident of the home was away. The thief or thieves broke a window of the back of the home and stole some items.

Ivey declined to say what items were stolen or to give a value. He said he is unaware of any other homes in the area that have been broken into.

Deputies Seek Alcohol Thief

ABC (1)Deputies are looking for a man who stole a bottle of alcohol from a counter display at 2 p.m. March 12 at an ABC store on Merrimac Trail.

Investigators Seek to Identify Speaker Thief

Target suspect 2YPSO investigators are searching for a man believed to have stolen portable speakers from the Marquis at Williamsburg Target on two occasions.

The first incident occurred at about 4:30 p.m. Dec. 30. The man stole two portable speakers valued at $99.99 each. He stole a third speaker valued at $99.99 at about 3:15 p.m. Jan. 9.

James City County:

Pain Medication Stolen from Croaker Doctor’s Office

The James City County Police Department is investigating after someone broke into a doctor’s office on the night of March 18 or morning of March 19 on the 4600 block of Rochambeau Drive and stole pain medication.

Maj. Stephen Rubino of the James City County Police Department said several vials of assorted pain medicine were stolen. Anyone with information should call Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP.
