Nobody was hurt after an unidentified man robbed the 7-Eleven in Norge on Saturday afternoon.

Maj. Stephen Rubino of the James City County Police Department said officers responded to the 7-Eleven at 4:45 p.m. Saturday. The preliminary investigation has revealed an unidentified man approached the clerk and asked to buy a lottery ticket. He then threatened the clerk and ordered her to give him lottery tickets, money from the cash register and several packs of cigarettes.

The suspect then ordered the clerk to the bathroom at the back of the store. As she walked toward the bathroom, the man left the store with lottery tickets, cigarettes and an undisclosed amount of money.

He walked behind the store toward the Kristiansand Office Park and drove off from there in an unknown direction in a white vehicle.

No weapon was displayed during the incident and the clerk was not injured.

The suspect is described as being a black male between 35 and 45 years old with a heavy build who was wearing a bulky black and blue jacket. He is between 5-foot-10 and 6-feet tall, according to police.

The 7-Eleven in Norge is located on Richmond Road near Epiphany Anglican Church and Norge Elementary School.
