Michael Hipple, the Republican nominee for the Powhatan seat on the James City County Board of Supervisors, has reported an additional $2,507 received for his campaign this week.
The $2,507 donation Hipple received was an in-kind contribution — reported as “direct mail”— from the Republican Party of Virginia.
With the Nov. 5 election around the corner, candidates for the Board of Supervisors are required to report campaign contributions totaling $500 or more within 24 hours of receipt. This requirement goes into effect when the election is two weeks away.
In addition to the $22,960 Hipple received for his campaign, the $2,507 contribution, made Oct. 28, puts his total raised at $25,467. According to the Virginia Public Access Project’s regular report information through Sept. 30, this is the first contribution Hipple has received from the Republican Party of Virginia.
Hipple previously received a cash contribution of $5,125 from the Republican Party of James City County.
