JCC Police Investigate Shots Fired at House

James City County Police are investigating after someone used a shotgun to fire at least three shots at a residence in the 3300 block of Pinecrest Drive on May 17.

Several residents called around 1 a.m. Friday and said they heard the gunshots in the area, said Stephanie Williams-Ortery, a spokesperson for the James City County Police Department. One of the callers said he found damage to his home, where birdshot appeared to have struck a door, siding and a front railing.

Police responded and found that nobody was hurt. They located three shotgun shell casings in a parking lot on the street in front of the residence, Williams-Ortery said. No other houses in the area appeared to have been struck by any projectiles.

The callers were unable to provide any description of the shooters or any vehicle they may have used. People were in the house at the time of the shooting.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Line at 888-LOCK-U-UP (888-562-5887).
