York Police Investigating Kingsmill Gold Shop Robbery

The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Department is looking for a man believed to have robbed an employee at the Kingsmill Gold Shop on Pocahontas Trail on Monday afternoon.

Around 3:24 p.m. Monday, a 5-foot-11 black male who is believed to be 140 to 150 pounds entered the store and robbed a female employee of undisclosed property. He was wearing a red shirt and a black ski mask and had a handgun and a black bag, according to a news release from Lt. Dennis Ivey of the York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Department.

At one point in the robbery, the man struck the victim with the gun causing an injury to her arm. He then fled the area on foot, heading toward the Busch Gardens parking lot, according to the release.
