Casey Auto Group has opened a used-car dealership at the site of the former Casey Toyota on Richmond Road.
“We have a starter inventory up there, but we’ll be increasing the inventory on a regular basis as business picks up,” said owner Art Casey.
Casey said the dealership will eventually have 75 to 100 vehicles on the lot when it is in full operation, though customers have access to the entire inventory of used vehicles at Casey dealerships throughout the peninsula as it is easy to bring cars from one location to another.
“We have close to 1,000 used cars in our inventory,” Casey said. “In essence, you’ve got close to 1,000 cars to choose from even though there are only 75 cars on the lot.”
The dealership will specialize in cars that sell for $16,000 or less. There are also cars available for under $10,000.
“It’s great to have another car dealership,” said Jim Noel, the director of the York County Office of Economic Development. “Mr. Casey is a very good business man who runs a professional operation. We’re very pleased.”
Casey Toyota, which had occupied the location since December 1993, moved to the new location on Rochambeau Drive in late October.
