Citizens are invited to converse with Williamsburg-James City County School Board members and Superintendent Steve Constantino on Wednesday.
WJCC’s Parent-Teacher Association Council is sponsoring its second community dialogue, an opportunity for parents and residents to discuss the future of the school division with its leaders. The event will begin at 7 p.m. in the Jamestown High School auditorium, located at 3751 John Tyler Highway.
Constantino will share an update on WJCC’s progress to implement its strategic plan, called “Pathway to Premier.” The plan was adopted last June and sets goals for the next five years. The event will also feature break-out sessions for School Board members to meet with constituents.
“My colleagues and I are delighted to be able to meet with members of the community in an informal setting,” said School Board Chair Ruth Larson in an announcement. “This is an important time for our school division, and talking with our constituents will help shape our thinking as we move forward.”
Last year’s event attracted about 80 attendees, and the discussion focused on budget issues. Read more about last year’s dialogue here.
