The Peninsula Health District is looking for a black-and-white cat with short hair that bit a person Friday in the Ford’s Colony subdivision of James City County.
The cat is a domestic short-haired cat with a wound behind the ear. It bit someone Friday in the vicinity of Country Club Drive.
If the cat is not found, the victim may need to get post-exposure shots to prevent rabies. Once found, the animal will not be taken from its owner; it will be placed on in-home confinement for 10 days.
