W&M Law Students Offer Voter Hotline

College of William & Mary law students will be staffing a non-partisan election hotline on Election Day.

Members of the Election Law Society will be available to field questions about the voting process from 8 a.m. to 7 p.m. Tuesday at (757) 221-7491. Any citizen seeking information about his or her rights at the polls is invited to call the VOTEline, which will only be available on Election Day.

VOTEline is an annual service provided by the W&M Election Law Society to prevent confusion at local election precincts. The student group has operated VOTEline since 2007.

To cast a ballot this year, voters must bring a form of identification to the polls. Also, due to redistricting, some polling places and assembly and senate districts may have changed. All voters should have received updated Virginia Voter Information Cards prior to Election Day.
