WILLIAMSBURG — William & Mary’s Online Master’s in School Counseling has been recognized by CounselingPsychology.org as the No. 2 program in the country.
According to the website, the CACREP-accredited program emphasizes social justice and diversity, preparing students for licensure through a curriculum that includes academic planning, career exploration, and emotional support strategies. Unique to this program are the two on-campus residencies that complement the online coursework, alongside required practicum and internship experiences for hands-on learning.
Additional perks include the program features small class sizes with flexible scheduling and that the program can be completed in as little as three years.
Rankings are based on curriculum strength, faculty credentials, flexibility, value and licensure preparation, according to the organization.
