WILLIAMSBURG — Jessi DiPette, a Williamsburg native, is no stranger to the television screen. From a stint on “Squid Games,” DiPette will now take her talents to Amazon as she joins the cast of season two of “Beast Games.”
“Beast Games,” a high-stakes reality competition show, was created by YouTube star MrBeast. On the show, he turns his viral challenges into a large-scale televised event. Contestants on the show endure over-the-top physical and mental challenges, all designed to escalate in difficulty with massive cash prizes on the line.
The season two theme, Team Strong vs. Team Smart, pits 100 of the smartest people against 100 of the strongest people during the mental and physical challenges.
A fitness instructor by trade, DiPette was cast as a member of Team Strong. Filming of the series took place in 2025.
“I’ve never seen Beast Games in my life, and just thought it would be fun when I saw the casting announcement for it. A lot of the filming was done overnight, so we had to completely adjust our sleep schedules. There were some technical difficulties with the first challenge that we actually had to perform a push-up tiebreaker to see who would advance to the pool of 50 contestants,” DiPette said.
After doing 75 push-ups, she advanced as one of the top 50 competitors for Team Strong.

According to DiPette, she still remains in contact with many of her teammates today.
“We were living on set. For ‘Squid Games,’ we were living in a warehouse as our dorm set. Everything was really contained to like one location and things were done really quickly. On Beast Games, I was there for three weeks, so I got to spend tons and tons of time in this Beast City just hanging out. We would play games, we had a gym, a library, we had pools, a 24/7 Starbucks. In some ways, life was super cushy, and I loved the fact that I got to know every single person there. When I watch this season, I am actually watching my friends for real,” DiPette said.
With episodes one through three now streaming on Prime, DiPette encourages everyone in Hampton Roads to watch the show to see where she places.
“It’s a great winter watch. The stakes are really high, the challenges are interesting and along the way, you’ll get to meet some really cool characters,” DiPette said.
The show premieres today on Prime Video. For more information on the show or to stream it, visit PrimeVideo.com.
