GRAFTON — A vehicle struck the M.D. Express Urgent Care at 4740 George Washington Memorial Highway in the Grafton area Wednesday morning.
According to the York County Fire and Life Safety, personnel were dispatched to the 4700 block of George Washington Memorial Highway at approximately 9 a.m. to a report that a vehicle had struck a building. On arrival, first responders found a mid-size SUV had collided with a commercial structure, entering a portion of the building that houses the urgent care.
Fire officials said the building’s occupants had evacuated before personnel arrived. Crews secured power to the damaged portion of the building, allowing the other businesses at that location to continue normal operations.
The driver, the sole occupant of the vehicle, was evaluated at the scene and was not injured, according to officials. No injuries were reported among the building’s occupants.
The cause of the incident is under investigation, and the structure is being evaluated by the York County Building Official and Fire Marshals, officials said.
