NORFOLK — Virginia Arts Festival announced Monday Alison Krauss & Union Station will perform Saturday, June 27, as part of the Williamsburg Live four-day weekend on The Lawn of the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg in support of their Arcadia Tour.
The show also features Jerry Douglas and special guest Theo Lawrence.
Williamsburg Live, located on the Lawn of the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg, is expanding in 2026 to a four-day weekend with the addition of a Thursday night performance and will take place June 25-28.
“We always enjoy celebrating the culmination of our season with world-class artists in the heart of Colonial Williamsburg,” said Rob Cross, Virginia Arts Festival Perry Artistic Director. “I’m excited to welcome Alison Krauss and Union Station back to the Festival and I know this performance will be a treat for visitors and locals.”
For nearly four decades, Alison Krauss & Union Station have been considered one of the most influential and widely celebrated acts in bluegrass and roots music, according to the organizers. Alison Krauss & Union Station released their highly anticipated new album, Arcadia, in 2025, their first studio album since 2011.
“Many people in bluegrass music talk about being born in the wrong decade,” says Krauss, “and whenever I sing, the pictures I see in my head take place in a particular time. That’s what happened with these tunes, maybe even more so than in the past.”
Tickets go on sale this Friday, Dec. 12 and will be available at vafest.org, by phone 757-282-2822, and in person at the Virginia Arts Festival Box Office.
