GLOUCESTER — Arts on Main and Flat Iron Crossroads will join forces to present RiverJam 2025 Saturday, Aug. 23 at Flat Iron Crossroads in Gloucester.
The celebration of music, art and local flavor is taking place from 3 to 7 p.m. Starting at $25 each, tickets are on sale now.
According to Arts on Main, RiverJam, is an annual celebration in support of its community programming.
“We’re really proud about this year’s lineup that will bring the community together in a fabulous outdoor venue to enjoy great music and foster special connections that come through sharing creative experiences,” said Marjo Holthaus, Chair of Arts on Main Board of Directors.
Arts on Main said this year’s musical lineup features a mix of local and regional talent:
- Don Irwin — An internationally recognized pianist known for his emotionally captivating performances.
- Lily Loves Jazz — A lively Williamsburg jazz group with a one-of-a-kind lineup, including a professor, a urologist, a neurosurgeon-turned-bassist and a former Library of Congress guitarist.
- One Voice Chorus Chorale — A powerful, intentionally integrated performance by 38 singers who bring harmony to life both musically and socially.
- The Ballast Band — A four-piece Gloucester-based ensemble covering classics from the Rolling Stones, Neil Young, the Allman Brothers and more.
“The arts are so vital in uniting friends and neighbors from all backgrounds to uplift one another,” said Jay Hutchins of Flat Iron Crossroads and nearby Brent and Becky’s Bulbs. “We’re looking forward to a great turnout.”
Organizers noted attendees can also enjoy local, award-winning food favorites from Gumbeau’s Catering, Nuttall’s Store and Short Lane Ice Cream.
RiverJam is a collaborative effort between Arts on Main, Gloucester’s nonprofit arts center, and Flat Iron Crossroads, a nonprofit performing arts venue, and is made possible by community sponsors and volunteers.
