WILLIAMSBURG — The Ford’s Colony Dance Band will perform its second Jazz Legends tribute concert on Thursday, April 24, at the Williamsburg Regional Library Theatre as part of WRL’s Dewey Decibel Concert Series.
The Ford’s Colony Dance Band — 17 musicians and two vocalists — is a big band sponsored by the Ford’s Colony Homeowners Association.
According to the band, the all-new program will feature more iconic songs from over 100 years of jazz and pay tribute to such greats as Louis Armstrong, Dave Brubeck, Doris Day, Billie Holiday, Benny Goodman, John Coltrane, Quincy Jones, Count Basie, Buddy Rich, Tony Bennett and many others.
The concert will take place from 7:30 to 9 p.m. in the Williamsburg Regional Library Theatre at 515 Scotland St. Admission is free, but donations are accepted.
