Meet August, this week’s adoptable pet.
August is a beautiful two-year old kitty that came to Heritage Humane Society in September 2019. She came to the shelter very shy and timid. The staff and volunteers at Heritage Humane Society dedicated a lot of time getting this sweet girl to come out of her shell. It took a lot of time and patience, but boy, was it worth it. She currently is housed in our cat colony room with other adoptable cats. Being around other kitties really helped her build confidence. Now she is usually the first cat to greet people visiting the shelter. August would do very well in a home with other cats.
She is also part of the shelter’s week-long adoption promotion for Homeless Animals Awareness Week (HAAW). February 9 – February 16 all adoption fees for long-term residents at the shelter are 50% off. To learn more about the adoption promotion and the twenty-five long-term residents at Heritage Humane Society, visit www.heritagehumane.org. And come by and meet August this week! She is eagerly waiting to show off all of her newly discovered confidence and playfulness!
