Local Brownie Troop participates in Veterans Day Ceremony

Leaders and members of Brownie Troop 1087, Girl Scouts of the Colonial Coast, Williamsburg, participated in the  Annual Veterans Day Ceremony at Historic Grace Episcopal Church Yorktown, on Sunday, November 11.
They greeted guests and participants and handed out the Commemorative programs, participated in the replacing flags on the graves of 92 Veterans buried in the Church Cemetery, and took part in the Nationwide “Tolling of The Bell” -sponsored by the United States WW 1 Centennial Commission – by ringing the historic (ca 1725 ) church Bell-in remembrance of those who served in WW 1, all veterans and the commemoration of the 100th Anniversary of the Armistice that ended that war.
