JAMES CITY COUNTY— An adult man was seriously injured Tuesday evening following a reported altercation and shooting in James City County, according to the James City County Police Department.
Officers responded at approximately 7:19 p.m. Feb. 17 to the 3900 block of Meadow Grove Way for reports of a parking lot altercation followed by gunfire. When officers arrived, they located an adult male suffering from an apparent gunshot wound.
The victim was transported to Riverside Regional Medical Center, where he is listed in serious but stable condition.
Police said the suspect fled the area on foot. He is described as a male wearing a mask and camouflage clothing.
Preliminary investigation indicates the suspect and victim were known to one another.
