YORK COUNTY — The York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office (YPSO) is investigating a commercial robbery that took place around 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, April 10 at a York County business.
According to an announcement from YPSO, deputies responded to a report of a robbery taking place in the 4000 block of George Washington Memorial Highway near Ella Taylor Road. An employee at the business reported that a white male entered the business, implied that he had a weapon, and demanded cash from the register.
The suspect left with an undetermined amount of cash and headed towards a residential area behind the business.
The suspect is described as a white male in his mid- to late-20s, with a slim build. He was wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, black mask, black shoes, and white gloves.
Residents who live off of or near Burts and Oriana roads are asked to check their surveillance systems for any suspicious activity during the time of the incident.
