UPDATE: Missing Richmond Senior Safely Located

UPDATE (Feb. 22, 2022, 12:16 p.m.): Virginia State Police (VSP) has canceled this alert as Ms. Black has been safely located.

STATEWIDE — Virginia State Police (VSP) has issued a senior alert for a missing Richmond woman.

Carmelita Black, 67, is described as Black American, 5 feet 5 inches, weighing 120 lbs., with brown eyes and gray hair.

VSP notes that she was last seen on Sunday, Feb. 20, 2022 at 2 p.m. in the area of Yorktown Avenue in the City of Richmond. She is said to be possibly wearing a long, puffy oat, a Call of Duty t-shirt, orange pants, and tan slide-on shoes.

Ms. Black is described as suffering from a cognitive impairment so that her disappearance poses a credible threat to her safety and health.
