WILLIAMSBURG — A new office development near Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center is underway with Williamsburg Eye Care set to anchor the first building.

Robertson Liebler Development Group has closed on a 4-acre site at 100 Ashby Park Drive for Ashby Business Park, a four-building project planned for medical and professional offices. Site work has begun.

The site sits near Sentara Williamsburg Regional Medical Center and has access to Route 199 and Interstate 64.

Williamsburg Eye Care has entered a contract to purchase the first building in the development and plans a 6,000-square-foot office.

“We are excited to begin our next chapter at Ashby Business Park, where our new 6,000-square-foot facility will allow us to better serve our growing practice in a modern, convenient location,” the practice’s physicians said in a statement.  “We look forward to welcoming patients to our new office in summer 2027.”

Robertson Liebler Development Group, a locally based real estate firm, is leading the project. The company said it has developed more than 48 properties in Virginia and other states.

“We are excited to welcome Williamsburg Eye Care as the first owner at Ashby Business Park,” a company spokesperson said. “Their commitment to the project reflects the strength of the Williamsburg market.”

The development will include space for medical and professional offices ranging from about 1,800 to 10,000 square feet. Janet Moore, with Berkshire Hathaway HomeServices RW Towne Realty Commercial Division, is handling sales and leasing for the project.
