WILLIAMSBURG — Grove Christian Outreach Center and Sentara recently announced a partnership to bring breast cancer screenings directly to the greater Williamsburg community.

On Oct. 31, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., Sentara’s mobile mammography unit will be on-site at Grove Christian Outreach Center in Williamsburg.

This initiative will provide fast, private, and professional 3D mammogram screenings, ensuring that community members have access to safe, comfortable, and confidential breast cancer detection services.

Appointments take 15 minutes, and while walk-ins are welcome, pre-registration is encouraged at 757-785-4138 or online at sentara.com/mychart. Participants are asked to bring a photo ID and insurance card, though financial assistance is available to those who qualify.

Sentara Healthcare said the event underscores its commitment not only to Grove Christian Outreach Center, but to the entire Hampton Roads region, where its support has long strengthened community health and wellness initiatives.

“The tremendous work that can be done within the community truly shows when our organization can work along others, like Sentara Healthcare,” said Matthew Pollino, Development Manager at Grove Christian Outreach Center. “With this being breast cancer awareness month, we are grateful for their support in the community, and to all those they have helped; past, present, and future.”

Grove Christian Outreach Center and Sentara Healthcare are inviting all eligible community members to take part in this opportunity to prioritize their health during Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
