WILLIAMSBURG — The Raymond A. Mason School of Business at William & Mary will host Syracuse University’s D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families (IVMF) Military Entrepreneurship Forum Wednesday, Oct. 29.

From 9:30 a.m. to 6 p.m., the forum will help connect veteran and military spouse owned businesses with the ecosystem in the area, provide networking and educational lectures from subject matter experts, and introduce resources available in the area to help businesses thrive.

The program is presented through a partnership with the William & Mary Office of Military and Veterans Affairs, Fiserv and IVMF.

“We’re excited for William & Mary Military & Veterans Affairs to partner with the D’Aniello Institute for Veterans and Military Families at Syracuse University to build awareness and connections around military entrepreneurs. This regional event is designed to empower veteran and military spouse-owned businesses. Several William & Mary veteran graduate entrepreneurs from the Raymond A. Mason School of Business will be participating on panels that focus on navigating entrepreneurial resources, funding and resiliency,” Kathleen Jabs, Special Assistant for Military and Veteran Affairs at William & Mary, said.

“Sponsored by Fiserv, the Military Entrepreneur Forum provides a unique opportunity to connect with experts, Fortune 500 companies, fellow entrepreneurs and resources. With our geographic location less than an hour drive from major military commands, William & Mary is in a unique position to be a collaborative partner connecting transitioning military members and their families with educational, economic and development opportunities. As a public university, we’re here to serve. We look forward to convening and connecting key stakeholders with this region’s incredible military talent,” Jabs added.

During the day, there will be panels, breakout sessions, and a resource and business showcase. The event is free and open to anyone in the community. Lunch is included.

Registration is through Eventbrite and more information can be found on the IVMF website.
