YORKTOWN — Body By D’s in Yorktown will host a Distracted Driving Community Outreach Event aimed at raising awareness and taking action to keep teens safe on our roadways on Saturday, Dec. 21, at 5 p.m.
This event, hosted by the Gweedo Memorial Foundation, which said it is a call to the community to come together and tackle the No. 1 killer of teens: driving.
Attendees will be among the first to see three impactful video clips created by the talented team at Dream Clip Films, with production made possible by the Virginia DMV.
These videos highlight the real dangers of dangerous driving and the critical need for education and advocacy, according to the foundation.
Vinny’s Pizza and Pasta will provide pizza.
The Gweedo Memorial Foundation said it’s an opportunity for the community to connect, learn, and commit to making our roads safer for everyone. Adding that distracted driving remains one of the most significant dangers facing teens today, it’s goal is to eliminate preventable tragedies by equipping young drivers with the knowledge and tools they need to make responsible choices behind the wheel.
