VPCC Men’s Basketball Falls to Camp; Women’s Game Postponed

HAMPTON — The Virginia Peninsula Community College men’s basketball team lost 77-63 at Paul D. Camp Community College on Wednesday, Jan. 17, while the women’s game against CNU’s club team scheduled for Saturday will now be played on Wednesday, Jan. 31.

Men’s Basketball

The Gators (5-9) were coming off an 86-75 win over Emory Oxford College on Jan. 14.

Changes have been made to the schedule. The game originally set for Saturday, Jan. 27, at Patrick & Henry has been moved to Saturday, Feb. 17. Instead, the Gators will play at Washington Adventist University on Jan. 27.

The men don’t return home until Feb. 3 against Mountain Gateway. The game will be played at Christopher Newport University and is scheduled to start at 2 p.m.

Women’s Basketball

The women’s game against CNU’s club team scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 20, at CNU was postponed. The schools now will play Wednesday, Jan. 31, at 7 p.m. in the auxiliary gym. The game scheduled for Saturday, Jan. 27, at Patrick & Henry also has been postponed and is now scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 17.

The women’s next game is at home, Sunday, Jan. 28, against Central Carolina Community College. Tipoff is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Warwick High School.
