Immersive Evening Event ‘Who Conspires?’ at Jamestown Settlement

WILLIAMSBURG — An immersive special event connected to Jamestown Settlement’s Reign & Rebellion special exhibition returns on Friday and Saturday evenings, May 26 and 27, and June 2 and 3.

Who Conspires?” is an immersive escape-room murder mystery that plays out in the museum’s re-created 1610-14 fort after dark from 8-9:15 p.m.
As the sun sets, ticketed guests race against the clock to explore three re-created buildings to solve puzzles, question suspects and seek clues to solve a mystery and protect the fort.

The special event, which debuted in November, features a new mystery, suspects and a mix of old and new puzzles. It is among a series of public lectures, after-hours performances and interactive events that complement the Reign & Rebellion exhibition at Jamestown Settlement and the American Revolution Museum at Yorktown.
Reign & Rebellion, on display through Sept. 5, explores Virginia through the lens of the Stuart monarchy and its impact and influence in early America on the struggles of those who lived in the colony in the 17th and 18th centuries.

Reign & Rebellion special programs are sponsored by Dominion Energy and supported in part by the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, Inc. Annual Fund.

Advance purchase of a $20 ticket is required per person to attend “Who Conspires?” Space is limited to 60 tickets per night. The program is recommended for ages 12 and over.

Doors open and check-in begins in the Jamestown Settlement lobby at 7:30 p.m. Participants will be divided into groups of 10 upon arrival. The program begins at 8 p.m. in the fort.

Comfortable walking shoes are recommended. Portions of the program are outside and will take place rain or shine unless canceled due to severe weather.

Jamestown Settlement, a museum of 17th-century Virginia history and culture administered by the Jamestown-Yorktown Foundation, is located on Route 31 just southwest of Williamsburg. Parking is free.
