TOANO — The Little Creek Reservoir Park boat launch and park store will be closed until further notice, James City County announced.
According to the county, low water levels have impacted the launching of all watercraft vessels, including boats, kayaks and canoes, and once water levels have risen to a safe and feasible level, facilities will reopen. The boat launch is anticipated to reopen in early 2025, dependent on water levels.
The park store is also closed as the hub of watercraft rentals. Pier fishing is permitted.
Little Creek Reservoir Park patrons who would like a refund of their annual ramp pass or kayak/canoe dry storage units should contact Josh Bew at 757-207-0880. Time left on the pass or unit will be prorated.
Boat launch pass holders who choose to keep their Little Creek passes can use them at the county’s other boat launch sites — Chickahominy Riverfront Park, James City County Marina, Brickyard Landing Park and Diascund Reservoir Park — which also feature boat launch sites at no cost.
