WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg Landing recently announced Housing Partnerships Inc. has been selected to receive the 2023 Outstanding Service to Seniors Award.
Housing Partnerships Inc. is a nonprofit agency that provides emergency home repairs primarily to elderly clients who cannot afford emergency home repairs or need their home ADA accessible. Services are provided free of charge to income-qualified homeowners by retired volunteers who give two days a week to work on projects to serve the senior population.
The Williamsburg Landing Fund and the Williamsburg Community Foundation will provide the Housing Partnership with the $1,000 Award. According to Williamsburg Landing, the award is chosen during Older Americans Month — May — and is presented in partnership with the Williamsburg Community Foundation.
“We are in awe of Housing Partnership’s work for seniors and could not be more proud to support such a worthy organization,” stated Greg Storer, President & CEO of Williamsburg Landing.
The Williamsburg Landing Fund was established with the Community Foundation in 2016 to honor those who have exhibited outstanding senior services in the greater Williamsburg area, it said. Winners are selected annually.
