WILLIAMSBURG — The Annual Liz Moore & Associates Cupcake Wars fundraiser was held on Feb. 10, raising nearly $21,000 in just three hours, setting a new company record.
“What started as a small office fundraiser for Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, where the agents baked cupcakes and we raffled them off, has turned into this company-wide competition. Now all of our offices compete and raise money for local charities,” Grayson Moore of Liz Moore & Associates said in a recent interview with 92.3 The Tide.
The event was held in Liz Moore & Associates offices across Newport News, Williamsburg, Richmond and Kilmarnock. This year, 5,500 cupcakes were baked, donated, and sold, according to Liz Moore & Associates.
Proceeds from Cupcake Wars 2023 will go to the Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters, Beacon Tree Foundation, and RAL Art Center’s smART Program for Young Artists.
“Another Cupcake Wars is in the history books!” said Liz Moore, “I didn’t think there was any way that we could top last year’s amazing fundraising results, but we did.”
