WILLIAMSBURG — When you see it, you can not help but hear the jingle, too. “Oh, I’d love to be an Oscar Mayer wiener, that is what I’d truly wish to be. ‘Cause if I were an Oscar Mayer wiener, everyone would be in love with me!”
The Oscar Mayer Wienermobile is rolling into Williamsburg on Wednesday, April 19 for Strictly Business, the free networking event hosted by WYDaily, Tide Radio, and 30 Off Local In partnership with Culture Fix. This year, the event will be held at Williamsburg-Jamestown Airport from 5-7:30 p.m.
Driven by an Oscar Mayer Hotdogger, the 27-foot-long hot dog travels across the country sharing “miles of smiles.” There are 12 Hotdoggers who work in teams touring the United States in six Wienermobiles.
“The hotdogger navigates the hot dog highway in one of the Wienermobiles. We head to new cities every weekend for events, parades or festivals. Our mission is to bring joy to people,” states Kaitlyn Bross, also known as Ketchup Kaitlyn.
For those lucky enough to visit the Wienermobile, the hotdoggers will give you a tour where guests can take photos and see the inside of the vehicle, which boasts six ketchup- and mustard-colored seats.
Additionally, the coveted Wienermobile Wiener Whistle can only be obtained by visiting an Oscar Mayer Wienermobile in person. Distributed since 1952, these whistles, are a little piece of hand-held history.
“We are super franken excited to be here!” exclaims Bross, “We have been relishing our time in Virginia! My partner and I are having buns of fun in Williamsburg.”
