
WILLIAMSBURG — Atomic Wings, a chain known for its chicken wings with signature sauces, will celebrate its grand opening Wednesday, Oct. 22, at 4655 Monticello Ave.
Atomic Wings touts its fresh, never-frozen, hormone-free wings with 14 different sauces to choose from on its website, with everything made to order, including its boneless wings and waffle fries.
The franchise is owned and operated by best friends Kishan Patel and Jevin Patel. At the age of 26, Kishan Patel already owns other restaurants, including franchises with Marco’s Pizza and a Which Wich, having bought his first in 2020. This will be his first restaurant in Williamsburg.
“I try to invest in what I like and think what’s going to be best for the community, food-wise,” said Kishan, who grew up in Williamsburg and went to Warhill High School and and Virginia Tech.
His parents already owned restaurants, so he was familiar with the business. He said his knowledge and the support of his family made it easier for him to be successful.
He decision to open an Atomic Wings in Williamsburg came from a desire to move back to his hometown. Jevin Patel, who owns two hotels in Williamsburg, has also has lived in the area his entire life.
The partnership was a result of a desire to buy something together, and after tasting the food, they decided on Atomic Wings.
Atomic Wings is open from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. Sunday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to midnight Friday and Saturday. The restaurant is located at 4655 Monticello Ave. in James City County. For more information, please visit its official website.
