WILLIAMSBURG — Williamsburg REALTORS gathered at the Art Museums of Colonial Williamsburg to celebrate 70 years Friday, May 30.

Established in 1956, the Williamsburg Board of REALTORS notes it began with a shared vision “to unite local professionals in the real estate industry and build a foundation rooted in integrity, advocacy and progress.” Over the decades, the organization said it has grown in both size and impact, “championing housing fairness, promoting inclusivity, shaping policy, and serving as a vital voice in the Historic Triangle community.”

“For 70 years, Williamsburg REALTORS has stood as the Voice for Real Estate in America’s Historic Triangle — a trusted resource for professional growth, ethical conduct, and a steadfast advocate for the communities we serve. As we celebrate the past, we look ahead with renewed commitment to excellence and service,” the organization said in a press release.

The Platinum Jubilee event was curated by the Community Engagement Committee, led by Chair Simone Jones, and members Courtney Shannon, Tabitha Dalton, Faye Dillman, Roberta Hammel, Alex Hazelwood, Fontaine Kamara, Shannon Lynch and staff liaison Darragh Cutshaw. Williamsburg REALTORS also thanked its current leadership: 2025 WAAR President Crisney Brooks and President-Elect Alison Sakimura.

Jubilee sponsors included The Williamsburg MLS, RPAC, Cotality, Supra, Coldwell Banker Traditions, 360 Home Inspections, Chesapeake Bank, The Gaston Group, Pillar to Post Home Inspectors, Routten & Laster Law and TowneBank Mortgage.
