Williamsburg Area Arts Commission to Host Forum on Marketing

WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg Area Arts Commission (WAAC) is inviting community members and representatives from interested arts organizations to its 2025 forum, “Marketing on a Shoestring Budget.”

The event will begin at 8:30 a.m. Feb. 27 at the Stryker Center in Williamsburg.

Stephanie Heinatz, Founder and CEO of Consociate Media, will present the forum. Consociate Media is a full-service marketing company that specializes in branding, media relations, web design, strategy, and storytelling.

“After last year’s forum, the Arts Commission polled attendees and learned that organizations throughout the area wanted to know more about marketing — at low cost for small budgets — using old and new social media outlets. We are excited to have a local expert, Stephanie Heinatz, speak on this popular subject,” WAAC Chair Thomas Phelps said.

Before the event, the Arts Commission encourages attendees to complete a survey about their personal and/or organization’s marketing experience and background. Click here to take the survey.

Doors to the Stryker Center will open at 8:30 a.m. for networking and light refreshments. The program begins at 9 a.m.

The event is free and open to the public, but registration is required. Sign up online to attend.

The WAAC notes it serves at the pleasure of the City of Williamsburg and James City County by supporting excellence in the arts through an annual grant program for nonprofit arts organizations in the greater Williamsburg area.
