YORKTOWN — Yorktown Flower Shoppe celebrated its new ownership and remodel with a ribbon cutting on Thursday, March 28.

The ribbon cutting featured the new owners — Diane Pitlunga-Irvine, Rayne Hinton, and Gage Irvine — as well as members of the York County community and Board Chairmen G. Stephan Roane.

“Congratulations Diane, Rayne, and Gage. You have a great story, family getting together and opening a business local to York County, and reinvigorating a business that’s been around a while and keeping it going,” said Roane during the ribbon cutting.

“Thank you, everyone, for coming out and celebrating with us,” said owner Pitluga-Irvine. “It has been an amazing journey and we are super happy to be here and we look forward to serving everyone in the community.

After the ribbon cutting, attendees were invited to enjoy food and a scavenger hunt around the store, while the owners eagerly shared the history of the flower shop and talked with the guests and members of the community.

The Yorktown Flower Shoppe is located 7034 George Washington Memorial Highway. For more, visit the official website.
