WILLIAMSBURG — The Williamsburg pet owner community is getting a new mobile dog grooming service in the coming months.

After an 18-year run in the Fairfax County area, Classy Canines Mobile Grooming is relocating to Williamsburg in early March 2022.

Owner-operator Michele Peterson started her business in 2004 after seeing there was a need for mobile grooming services in Northern Virginia.

With her husband retiring, Peterson wanted to continue the success of her business in a new location.

“After visiting the Williamsburg area over the years, we really fell in love with it,” Peterson said. “We decided that at some point we’d move the business to the Historic Triangle. So here we are.”

The mobile groomer is a fully-equipped salon that comes right to clients’ houses.

According to Peterson, each dog is groomed in a quiet setting with no distractions. The mobile grooming service also allows for no waiting time to pick up the dog, as most grooms take about an hour and the dogs are returned right to their doors.

“You don’t even need to be home,” Michele notes. “Arrangements can be made to groom your dog ‘latch-key’ after the first appointment.”

Peterson is now accepting inquiries and is beginning to book new clients for her March arrival.
