If you’re looking to visit Florida’s west coast on a budget, you may be in luck next year.

Starting April 4, Allegiant Air is offering one-way flights from Richmond International Airport to the Sarasota-Bradenton International Airport (SRQ), according to a news release Tuesday from Richmond International Airport.

The tickets start at $65. Seats and dates are limited for the introductory one-way fares, and flights must be purchased before Nov. 14 for travel prior to Aug. 13, 2019, according to Allegiant.

“We’re thrilled to be adding a new destination for Richmond-area travelers,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant vice president of planning and revenue. “We’re sure that everyone will enjoy getting away to beautiful Sarasota on these convenient, nonstop, ultra-low-cost flights.”

The nonstop flights will run twice weekly.

The Sarasota-Bradenton route is the fourth direct flight offered by Allegiant out of the Richmond International Airport. The others travel to Nashville, Tennessee, as well as Orlando and Tampa Bay.
