VIRGINIA BEACH — If all goes according to plan, by the end of the year this city will be home to the first Cooper’s Hawk Restaurant in Southeast Virginia.
Cooper’s Hawk provides a “wine driven” upscale casual dining experience.
“We are very excited about Virginia Beach,” said Ami Vanderhoof, marketing manager for Cooper’s Hawk. “We are planning to open late 2018, but the date has not yet been determined.”
Founded in Illinois in 2005, Cooper’s Hawk has 30 locations in the United States, with three in Virginia (two in Northern Virginia and one in Richmond).
Five new locations are set to open this year, including the Virginia Beach location at Lynnhaven Mall.
The new Virginia Beach restaurant will total 11,112 square feet, in addition to an 848-square-foot covered patio space with seating for 44.
Inside there is seating for 263.
Using grapes sourced from locations around the U.S. (including California, Oregon, and Washington), their winery in Woodridge, Illinois produces some 573,000 cases of wine each year.
Cooper’s Hawk restaurants also include a “Napa-style” wine tasting room and a wine club, in which members will receive newly released wines each month, and benefits such as invitations to members-only events, exclusive discounts, points on purchases, birthday rewards, and a Wine Club Newsletter.
