Bargain hunters have one more day to pick through the remains of the Farm Fresh at Five Forks in Williamsburg.

Assorted jars and canned goods, spices, sauces and other preserved non-perishables still sat on some shelves Saturday with savings of 60 and 70 percent off their regular price.

The supermarket will close Tuesday, according to a store manager. A sign notes the pharmacy will remain open in the vacant grocery store space, and will continue to operate once Harris Teeter moves into the building.

Harris Teeter Communication Manager Danna Robinson said there was no timeline for when the location would reopen as a Harris Teeter.

A Farm Fresh spokesperson did not immediately respond to request for comment Monday.

Farm Fresh parent company SuperValu is selling many of its stores across Virginia to rival grocers Harris Teeter, Kroger and Food Lion. A total of 21 stores were sold for a combined $43 million.

Nearly 300 Farm Fresh employees will be laid off across Greater Williamsburg following the close of the stores, including 88 each in Norge and Five Forks, and 77 in Grafton.

Kroger will buy the Farm Fresh on George Washington Memorial Highway in Grafton. SuperValu is also working to sell the Farm fresh in Norge.
