Here’s how to find AAA’s Diamond-rated restaurants on Alexa and Google Home

Looking for a good restaurant in your hometown or while you’re traveling for vacation?

Look no further than your Amazon Alexa or Google Home device.

The American Automobile Association has partnered with Amazon Alexa and Google Home to make accessing their 31,000 Diamond-Rated restaurants a little easier. Using the voice technology, consumers can ask their device to “tell” AAA to find them a nearby restaurant form the agency’s TourBook guides, according to a news release.

Those using an Amazon Alexa must enable their device to access Diamond-Rated restaurants.

“Consumers want information instantly and easily. Voice-based technologies, Alexa and Google Home, are driving this trend,” AAA Tidewater Virginia Vice President of Public Affairs Georjeane Bluming wrote on a news release. “AAA continues to innovate and promote these exciting new approaches and, in doing so, is meeting and exceeding the needs of AAA members and other consumers alike while providing the most convenient access to Diamond Rated restaurants.”

In Virginia Beach, there are two AAA Four Diamond-rated restaurants this year: Terrapin Restaurant and Salacia Prime Seafood & Steaks.

AAA only rates about 2 percent of the 31,000 restaurants they inspect as Four or Five Diamond establishments.
