NORFOLK — Do you eat, sleep and breathe designer fashion, but don’t have time to travel through tunnels to get your fix?
Don’t worry. The opening of the Norfolk Premium Outlets is about two months away, and on Tuesday 10 new stores were announced to give Southside shoppers a taste of what’s to come.
On the list? Michael Kors, Vans Outlet, The North Face, Carter’s, OshKosh B’Gosh, Express Factory Outlet and Hanesbrand.
The list also includes three stores that aren’t currently available at the Williamsburg Premium Outlets: AlX Armani Exchange, Old Navy and francesca’s Outlet.
The newest additions are only a fraction of the 85 planned stores, which are scheduled to open for shopping on June 29.
The shopping center will be the Southside first outlet mall, and is owned by Indiana-based developer Simon Property Group. Simon owns and operates 67 outlet malls across the country, including the Williamsburg Premium Outlets.
The new store additions were made a day after a job fair was announced for Thursday, May 11. More than 500 full- and part-time positions are expected to be filled.
