WILLIAMSBURG 一 Whiskey & Wine Weekend returns July 10-12, highlighting a number of Williamsburg restaurants and businesses.
Events for the weekend include award-winning winemaker Matthew Meyer, who will host a guided tasting of Virginia’s best wines at Blue Talon Bistro on July 10 from 5-6:15 p.m., and a free stand-up comedy show featuring Brett Kline, Heather Joyce and Randolph Washington Jr. at Merchants Square illy Caffé on July 11, with doors opening at 7 p.m.
Copper Fox Distillery will host Bones & BBQ on July 11 from noon-8 p.m., with music by singer-songwriter Ami Baker from 3:30-6:30 p.m. For crafters, Paint on Pottery will host a design-your-own wine goblet paint-and-sip event on July 11 at 3 p.m.
A free screening of the romantic comedy “Under the Tuscan Sun” will be held at the Williamsburg Regional Library on July 10 at 7:30 p.m. Wine and mead tastings will be hosted by local businesses, including Three Sisters Boutique and Brick & Vine, on July 10-11 from 10 a.m.-6 p.m.
Meal, drink and shopping specials will be offered all weekend by DoG Street Gastro Pub, Revolution Golf and Grille and The Peanut Shop of Williamsburg.
Guests can earn a commemorative wine- and whiskey-themed gift by checking in at participating locations throughout the city. To participate, they may pick up a pass card at the Williamsburg Whiskey & Wine info tent in Merchants Square.
“This weekend of events is a fun way to showcase what local restaurants and businesses have to offer,” said Liz Sykes, the event producer. “Whether you’re a resident or visitor, we hope this weekend inspires you to explore Williamsburg in a new, memorable way.”
