If the sign out front is any indication, ice cream lovers will need to pass by the Dairy Queen on Bypass Road in their search for frozen treats.

Williamsburg’s Dairy Queen is closed, according to the signs that face Bypass and Mooretown Roads.

The property is also available for lease.

The property is owned by Mark Campbell, according to York County’s property records. Online records indicate the Dairy Queen opened in 1995.

When WYDaily called the phone number listed on the sign, the owner declined to comment.

The Dairy Queen had two drive-through lanes and a walk-up window, and sold entrees like burgers, hot dogs and chicken strips as well as frozen treats like their signature Blizzard.

The next-closest Dairy Queen is in Newport News.
