
A weak cold front will bring the possibility of severe thunderstorms this afternoon and evening in Greater Williamsburg, the National Weather Service says.
Some of the storms may pack damaging wind gusts, localized heavy downpours and hail, the weather service said. The storms are expected to be heaviest between 7 and 10 p.m.
The storms also could cause minor flooding in low-lying areas, the weather service said.
Today’s high is expected to reach the upper 80s. Tonight’s low will be in the mid-60s.
Friday’s forecast calls for partly cloudy skies and highs in the mid-80s.
Saturday also will be partly cloudy, with temperatures climbing into the 90s.
Partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 80s are expected Sunday for Mother’s Day.
