VIRGINIA BEACH — The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs granted $39,161 to the city’s department of housing and neighborhood preservation to provide a permanent home for five additional veterans experiencing homelessness in Virginia Beach. NORFOLK  — The Virginia Zoo is home to four orangutans. Both Bornean and Sumatran orangutans are critically endangered. One of the zoo’s female orangutans is pregnant. This will be the first offspring for the 18-year-old Bornean orangutan, who is expected to deliver the baby in mid-June to early July. READ MORE.
