Motorists be aware: Some lanes, streets, and ramps on Interstate 64 will close between Dec. 10 and 16. Drivers planning to be out on I-64 and some nearby streets will likely experience nightly delays in December due to the I-64 widening project.
Crews contracted by the Virginia Department of Transportation will close a series of interstate on-ramps and off-ramps on I-64 at Route 199 and Lee Hall Boulevard. Single-lane closures will also be in effect between in as far north as Camp Peary on the interstate.
