Police arrest woman accused of assaulting 73-year-old man who allegedly asked for sexual favors

Police have arrested a 27-year-old woman accused of assaulting a man facing prostitution charges for allegedly bringing her into his home in exchange for sexual favors, officials said.

Jasmine Nicole Suiter of Newport News was taken into custody on May 10, according to James City County spokeswoman Stephanie Williams.

Richard Parker of James City County, a 73-year-old man who initially contacted police because he was assaulted by a woman he knew, was ultimately charged with soliciting prostitutes, according to court records.

Another 21-year-old woman believed to be involved has not been located.

On March 12 police responded to an open line 911 call from a residence in the 6200 block of Tewkesbury Way.

When police arrived, they found the telephone ripped from the wall, signs of a struggle and Parker laying on the ground grasping his knee, Williams said.

Parker told police he had been allegedly assaulted by Suiter, whom he said performed sexual favors for him in exchange for money, food and a place to stay. He informed police there had been another 21-year-old woman present during the incident.

According to Parker’s report to police, the two women got into an altercation when one woman discovered Parker had been having sex with the other, when “she was only to have been providing exotic dances,” Williams said.

Police believe Suiter then assaulted Parker. Police say she threw his computer to the ground and ripped the telephone off of the wall when he attempted to call 911, according to statements in the complaint.

Suiter faces charges of prostitution, unlawful use or injury to telephone line, assault and battery and destruction of property.

She was released on bail pending an appearance in Williamsburg-James City County Court on June 6.

Parker was given a summons and will also appear in court on June 6.
