Sections of William & Mary campus and some local roads will be closed off Tuesday due to a live-action training exercise held by the school’s Emergency Management Team, campus police said.

The exercise takes place between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m., on the area of The Commons, Kaplan Arena and the Student Recreation Center.

By 9 a.m. Tuesday morning, police will have barricades and signs marking the exercise field.

The exercise will cause an abnormal volume of emergency response personnel on campus during that time, according to Deb Cheesebro, The College of William & Mary Chief of Police.

Parking along Brooks Street around Kaplan Arena will not be permitted that day until after noontime.

Vehicular traffic will also be restricted on Brooks Street between Wake and Compton streets for the duration of the training exercise.

Please contact William & Mary Police at (757) 221-4596 with any concerns.
