Police: Men display guns, attempt to rob women walking to vehicle

York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office deputies are searching for two men who attempted to rob two women late Monday night.

Police say two men, dressed in all dark clothing and wearing masks, displayed black handguns and attempted to take money from two women, according to a York-Poquoson Sheriff’s Office news release. The women were walking to their vehicle in the 200 block of Leigh Road.

One woman was able to flee the area on foot and lock herself in her car, the release said.

The two men were last seen running toward Walnut Drive, according to the release.

The two men did not take anything from the woman and neither victim sustained injuries, police said.
